Wanderlust
Tours
Our 2009 tours are ready for
registration!
Wanderlust Tours combine
educational classes with guided tours and independent travel.
For more than a decade,
travel
writer and architectural historian, Shawnie Kelley has worked, studied
and
traveled abroad. She
currently writes
for a national travel guide series and teaches travel and history
classes in Columbus,
Ohio.
Shawnie personally designs
and
leads each tour, focusing primarily on France
and Great
Britain.
Every tour benefits from her
extensive travel experience and first-hand knowledge of the “in’s and
out’s” of
functioning in Europe.
Wanderlust Tours are best
suited
for active, cultural-minded – and somewhat adventurous- travelers.
What makes us special?
Wanderlust
Tours are informal,
laid back sightseeing trips, with never more than 20 people. The small group size
allows for more
individual attention and engagement.
Independent travel can be
worked
into the itinerary in advance
Preliminary classes are
provided
to teach about the culture and history
The tours frequent
independently-owned & operated businesses when possible
Historic hotels and inns of
character are the accommodations of choice.
What is included?
Each traveler is responsible
for
getting themselves to the destination
Cost
includes accommodations, attraction
admission, ground transport, more specifically details in each tour
description.
Scenic
photo-ops are built into the
itinerary
“Optional
excursions" are not offered,
but free time is scheduled each day to allow travelers to explore on
their own,
or not.
Some meals and entertainment
are
included in the price, while leaving a few meals for culinary
exploration on
your own.
With advance notice, every
attempt is made to accommodate special dietary needs.
